REQUIREMENTS

  • Have to be between ages 18-26
  • You have to be single, have no children of your own and have no criminal record
  • Have a genuine love for children and have some babysitting experience (no formal training is necessary as long as you love being around kids)
  • You have to apply for your own police clearance at your local police station
  • Must be able to swim
  • Must have a drivers license
  • Must have a high school diploma
Further requirements
  • Au pair will be required to work 45 hours per week
  • Attend mandatory au pair meetings with your local childcare coordinator which are great fun
  • Provide light household duties related to childcare
BENEFITS
  • The family will pay for your return airfare.
  • You will enjoy the orientation training week in Seattle Washington

  • Au pair will receive a weekly stipend of $195.75
  • Two weeks paid vacation
  • One and a half days off per week
  • One whole weekend off per month
  • $500 allowance toward taking a course of your choice at a local college – this is part of your visa requirement
  • Medical insurance for the duration of the program
  • Option to extend your stay for a 2nd year
NOT INCLUDED IN OUR FEES ARE:
  • Application for passport and police clearance
  • Have to pay for your own visa $140 and
  • Medical documents need to be done as part of your application

Program fees:
  • R350 Registration fee
  • R750 Interview Fee-payable upon submission of application;
  • R2,000 first deposit payable upon confirmation of acceptance;
  • R2,900 Final Payment-payable upon placement with a host family
